To the parents John Conrad Hottel and Barbara (Funkhouser) Hottel. They moved from VA. to Ind. in 1814. A son name David Hottel b. 6 Apr 1813 in VA and d. 1815 in IND.?
Christian married Catharina Snider, daughter of John & Catharina
(Pittman) Snider, on 6 Oct 1831 in Harrison Co. Catharina's grave location is
currently not known. She is known to have been alive at least up to time of the
1860 Federal Census and apparently did not remarry after Christian's death in
1844. Christian and Catharina had 5 children: John (b. 1833), Barbara (b. betw.
1836 - 1838), Levi (b. abt. 1836), Philip (b. 1837), and Catharine (b. betw.
1840 - 1842).
