Edward F. Grafje, 76, of Hazlet Township, died Monday at his home. He was a fork lift operator for the Acme Market Warehouse, South Kearny. He was retired after 39 years of service. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, he received the Bronze star. He was a member of the American Legion Post #232, Barnegat. A member and communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Jersey City. He was born in Jersey City and lived there until a year ago, moving to Hazlet.
Surviving is his wife, Victoria (nee Shusta); two sons, Edward P., Barnegat, Donald C., Brick, two daughters, Nancy C. Wall, Old Bridge, Joan R. Gaughran, West Keansburg; two brothers, August and William, a sister, Margaret Comelleri; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City, are in charge of arrangements.
