Janette was the eldest of four children born to Carl Crum and Georgia (Thompson) Bennett. Her siblings were Marian, Marjorie and Robert Bennett. She married Shirley A. Willard Oct. 27, 1938 in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.

"JANETTE B. WILLARD, 77, of Colorado Springs died Monday at a local nursing home. She had been a homemaker.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 701 N. 20th St., with the Rev. Melanie Downs officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road. Swan-Law Funeral
Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Willard was born July 27, 1913, in Cropsey, Ill., to Carl and Georgia (Thompson) Bennett.
Mrs. Willard had lived in Colorado Springs since 1951. She was a member of Holy Trinity United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Shirley A. Willard, is deceased.
Mrs. Willard is survived by a son, Steven Bennett; a daughter, Susan Armstrong; and a sister, Marjorie Myer.
