Fern was stricken with Polio in 1952 and she was paralyzed from the neck down due to her illness. She fought to overcome her illness, resumed her career as a dance teacher and lived a full life. She took great joy in teaching dance and she touched many lives passing along the skills and love of her favorite hobby and lifestyle.
Her family would like to thank all the caregivers that provided countless hours throughout her life especially those that assisted during her Polio battle and more recently at Presbyterian Village, St. Vincent Hospital, and Hospice Home Care.
