Beatrice was the 11th of 12 children born to Carlos del Carmen Alviso and Eutimia Buelna. She married Vincent Ruiz and in Jun 1916 their son Lawrence Ruiz was born. Vincent, Beatrice and baby Lawrence lived in the Bay Area for a time where Vincent worked in the ship yards during the war. They moved back to Madera where he worked at Brammer Shoe Store. Beatrice spent some time at Awahnee due to her illness but died at their home in Madera at age 27. Their son was just 9 when his mother died.
