She was born April 12, 1924 in Danville to William and Elizabeth Smith Buck. She married Owen W. Ellis on April 4, 1942. He died Jan 15, 1953. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, William Ellis and Owen Ellis; one daughter, Clostella McBride; one brother, William Buck; three sisters, Betty Boyd, Bonnie Coon and Sharon Buck; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ellis worked as a seamstress for Dynacor and Medline until retiring in 1989. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and bingo.
