A. Clyde Archey...Anderson Township Resident, Is Dead
A. Clyde Archey, 62, died at his home in Milroy Friday morning at 4 o'clock following a serious illness since last February. A complication of diseases was given as the cause of death.
The deceased was a son of James and Elizabeth Hill Archey and was born in Orange township. He had resided most of his life in the Milroy community. Mr. Archey was a member of the Milroy Methodist church and was affilated with the Modern Woodmen lodge of Rushville and the Masonic lodge at Milroy.
The deceased was very active in the civic and community affairs at Milroy and several years ago was the editor and publisher of the Milroy Press.
Mr. Archey was married to Amy Aldridge who survives with one daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise Hasty of Milroy, a son, William near Milroy, one sister, Mrs. Effie Hume of Long Beach, Calif. and three brothers, Cleve of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Hugh and Edgar of Shelbyille.
Funeral services will be held at the Murphy Funeral home in Milroy Sunday afternoon at2:30 o'clock by the Rev. R. O. LaHue. Burial will follow in Milroy cemetery. Friends may call at the late home beginning tonight at 6 o'clock until Sunday noon when the body will be removed to the funeral home.
