Son of Ari Lieb "Louis" Alkes and Dwoire "Dora" Rutkonitz.
Arrived in the US with his sister-in-law Chana Suckman Alkes on November 2nd, 1904 on the Amsterdam from Rotterdam.
First married Ida Suckman and had sons Nathan and Isidore "Ishy".
Second married Ruth.
With his brother Isidore, he owned a junkyard in Glens Falls and family share many memories of junkyard and junk collection adventures.

Uncle Morris, I think of you often. I remember being a little girl and in awe of you. I also remember the junk yard. I remember the last time I saw you before you passed away. You were with Uncle Izzy and you gave me a dollar. Rest easy.
