Born July 19, 1908, in Oklahoma City, Okla., she was the daughter of Dallas Dean and Louisa Daly Ruebush. On Aug. 24, 1926, she married Maurice "Honk" Arnold in Raritan, Ill. He died April 21, 1986.
Mrs. Arnold worked for the Lomax Canning Factory, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and Sheaffer Pen Co.
She was a graduate of Sciota High School in Sciota, Ill., and attended college in St. Louis. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Dallas City and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Maureen Stump of Mendon, Ill., and Shirley Ferrill of Dallas City, Ill.; two sons, Jerry Arnold of Fort Madison and Joseph Arnold of Dallas City; 16 grandchildren; 14 great–grandchildren; and five great–great–grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, one grandson, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, where the rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. followed by visitation to 8 p.m.
The Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Arnold will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City, with the Rev. Luke Spannagel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Carthage, Ill.
