MRS. JEANETTE N. BELMORE
Funeral services were held in Calais last Thursday for Mrs. Jeanette Nason Belmore, 91, who died the previous Monday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Williams, Free st., after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. Belmore came from Calais 11 years ago to make their home with their daughter and her family.
The Rev. Kenneth Cook officiated and burial was in the Calais cemetery.
Bearers were: Charles McKay, Norman Carlow, Sr., Walter Scott, all of Calais, and Owen Metcalf of Waite.
Mrs. Belmore was born at Oak Point, N. B. March 19, l864, daughter of the late Calvin and Mary (Hodgins) Nason and was the last survivor of a family of nine children. She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church at Calais.
She is survived by her husband, John D. Belmore; her daughter, Mary J. Williams, Dexter; one grandson, a niece and two nephews. (The Eastern Gazette, November 10, 1955)

In the 1910 U.S. Census, John Belmore, 37, born Maine, father born Canada, mother born Michigan, was living in Ward 6, Calais, Maine, with Jeanette, 46, born Canada, parents born Canada; Clarence H., 7, born Maine; and Mary J., 1 year, seven months, born Maine.

On December 12, 1902, in Oak Bay, N.B. John D. Belmore, 29, of Calais, born in Alexander to Hillman and Jeanette Belmore, married Jeanette Nason, 38, of the Ledge, Dufferin Parish. She was born there to Calvin and Mary Nason.

In the 1901 Canada Census, farmer Calvin Nason, 74, born April 16, 1826 in N.B., was living in Dufferin, N.B. with son and farmer William, 49, born June 10, 1851; daughter-in-law Augusta C., 46, born June 15, 1854; and daughter "Win T M" Janetta, 37, born March 19, 1864, all in N.B.

In the 1891 Canada Census, farmer Calvin Nason, 65, born N.B., father born U.S., mother born N.B., was living in Dufferin Parish, N.B. wtih Mary, 66, born N.B., father born Ireland, mother born N.B.; William, 39, born N.B., father born Ireland, mother born N.B....;Matilda, 32, born N.B., stone cutter John, 28, born N.B.; cotton mill weaver Nettie, 27, born N.B.; nurse Fannie, 24, born N.B.. Living with them was Sarah Hodgins, 60, born N.B., father born Ireland, mother born N.B.
