In 1902 she emigrated to the USA, arriving in New York, New York November 5, 1902 on the ship Teutonic. She joined her brother John William Beardsmore in Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois. She married James Chadderton and they had four children. She was buried December 12, 1947.
