Lucyphine F McBride was the first child of John Calvin Mcbride 1880 – 1968 and Lena May Harris 1886 – 1963 . Her siblings were a little boy, Coy Ott McBride on July 17, 1910. June 12 was a sad day, one year old little Coy passed away. Two years later on Aug 2, 1912, Fannie Pauline McBride arrived. Fannie Pauline married James David Altom Sept. 27, 1930.
The 1920 census yielded a friend the same age as Lucyphine. Two daughters of James and Minnie Bently, Lula and Nina lived on a farm very near to Lucy, and they probably spent many fun afternoons walking home from school, sharing the local gossip and talking about the boy that lived near them.
Lucyphine married Enoch Mack Williams on March 5, 1928. The 1930 census reported that they were living in Jenkins, Letcher, Kentucky. Mack was working as an electrician in a coal mine.
It is not known how or where Mack died on Sept 4, 1938. If he died Kentucky, his body was returned to Hawkins Co., Tennessee for burial in the Courtney Cemetery.
Lucy remained a widow for 8 years before marrying Earl Haynes Davis on June 28, 1946. It is unknown if Lucyphine ever gave birth to children.
Lucyphine F McBride Davis died on September 8, 1983. Her dear husband, Earl Haynes Davis, family and friends gathered at the Courtney Cemetery to bid her farewell.
