Anna Isabelle Voivedich Cox -- Born January 10, 1922, in Ocean Springs, MS, and a long time resident of Mobile, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at her home. She graduated from Bishop Toolen High School in 1940, and worked for the Southern Bell, Army Aviation Center and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A loving and devoted mother and friend who lived to dance, she will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd G. Cox, Sr.; and her son, John Nicholas Cox. Survivors include six children, Mary Anne Mercer, Lloyd G. Cox, Jr., Thomas J. (Kelly) Cox, Michael I. Cox, Karen E. Cox, and Lynne T. (Larry) Piper; her sister, Claire "Mac" Steadman; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.radney funeralhome-mobile.com.
