MOUNT SOLON -- The funeral for Mary Burwell Buck, 68, of Rt. 2, Mount Solon will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the McMullen Bridgewater Funeral Home.
The service will be conducted by the Rev. Grant Simmons, the Rev. Paul O'Gorek and the Rev. Charles P. MacArthur. Burial will be in Mount Solon Cemetery.
Miss Buck died Monday afternoon at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where she had been admitted Saturday.
She was born Jan. 4, 1913 in Augusta County and was a daughter of the late Preston and Edith Hawpe Buck.
She taught school in Augusta County several years before retiring because of poor health in 1958. She was a member of Mossy Creek Presbyterian Church and its adult class.
Miss Buck has been associated with the North Fork Presbyterian Home Mission Field in Circleville, W. Va., and was a 4-H leader at Towers several years.
Her closest survivors are cousins.
The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call.
