Grants Pass Department of Public Safety dog "Denny" died Sunday June 5th as a result of a lower intestinal blockage, despite efforts by a local veterinarian. K-9 Denny was the department's third police service dog and began his career in May of 2005. In his six years of service, K-9 Denny was deployed nearly one thousand times, and has been credited with locating 178 criminal suspects.
