Violet Christine Caldwell, a resident of Carrollton Manor, formerly of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008. She was 90. Mrs. Caldwell was born on April 2, 1918 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late James Earnest and Lizzie Brown Walker. She was a homemaker and was member of Antioch Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Edwin Caldwell, Sr.; and her sisters, Ezma Johnson, Estell Piper, and Obera Norton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law of GA; daughter and son-in-law of Lake Alfred, Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister.
Funeral services held on November 2 at Antioch Baptist Church, Carrollton, GA with Rev. Tony McManus officiating. Music furnished by Paul Butcher. Pallbearers are Ken Lovvorn, Dennis Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell, Brandon Caldwell, Chris Wheelus, Craig Wheelus, and Jimmy Wheelus. Interment in the church cemetery.
