"Gene" was a Carpenter Foreman at the Nevada Test Site for many years in Area 51. He had top Security clearence.

He served four years in WWII in the South Pacific arena. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Carpenters Local 1780 for 50 years. He married first Miss Ella Mae Whisenhunt and they had 2 children Danny Joe and Carol Ann. Gene and Ellie divorced in the 70's but remained friends
He later married Helen Formaster of Alamo Nv. and Ellie married Edward Grecius . They continued to enjoy their children attending familty gatherings with their respective spouses.
Gene and Helen moved to Ely Nv. in 1987 and remodeled a home there. Gene and another man (unknown)constructed the War Memorial Monument on the White Pine Co. Court House lawn in Ely. Gene died of Cancer in 2004 in a Las Vegas Hospice.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Paul and son Danny Joe Davis.

He was Creamated and asked that his ashes be spread on the White River, in central Nevada.
