Townsend Apr 28, 1938 - Peter R Nash, 68, long time resident of the Gallatin valley, died about 6 o'clock last evening in the Townsend hospital. Death was caused from complications following an attack of influenza.
Born in Markham, Ont, March 12, 1870, he came to Michigan with his parents when he was 12 years old, then came to Montana in 1889, settling in the Gallatin valley where he conducted extensive farming operations.
He married in 1904 to Sara Corcoran of Ontario, who died in 1920. Later he married Eliza Wagner of Livingston, who survives him. Also surviving him are six sons and two daughters, who are William a Jesuit priest at Desmet, Idaho; Frank, a physician in Townsend; Donald, a student at the University of Montana and John, Robert and Murray of Bozeman and Katherine Ann and Frances of Bozeman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from Holy Rosary church in Bozeman. The Rosary will be recited Friday night in Bozeman.
