Funeral services were held March 22 from the church of Seven Dolors in Millerville for Mrs. Anna Abel, who passed away March 19. Rev. Adolph Schmidt officiated. Interment was made in the Seven Dolors cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis Loeffler, Peter Abel, Conrad Abel, Joe Cichy, John Stariha and John Renkes.
Mrs. Anna Abel was born in Elizabeth, Minn., the daughter of Joseph Stariha. When just a few months old the family moved to Millerville which has been her home since. On June 16, 1903, she was united in marriage to Fred Abel. One daughter was born to this union, Mrs. Martin (Priscilla) Swanson of Minneapolis.
Mrs. Abel passed away at her home in Millerville March 19 at the age of 75 years and 3 months.
She is survived by her husband and daughter, two brothers, Matt Stariha of Brandon and August Stariha of Millerville, and two sisters, Mrs. John Lorsung of Ogema and Mrs. John Kotechover of Red Lake Falls. Her parents and a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
