Gorham -- Eugene J. "Ike" Kuhn, 73, died Monday, March 29, at St. Anthony Hospital in Hays, after a lenghty illness. He was born on Nov. 18, 1908 in Emmeram, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Hoffman Kuhn.

He married Julia Bieker on April 20, 1931 in Emmeram.

He was a lifetime resident of the community. He built and operated a welding shop in Gorham from 1944 until his retirement in 1973. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Gorham Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Julia, of the home; four brothers, Leo, Clarence and Joseph, all of Victoria, Francis, Topeka; seven sisters, Mrs. Dena Riedel, Mrs. Otto Leona Rohleder, Mrs. Charles Lillian Windholz and Mrs. Martina Beiker, all of Hays, Mrs. Anslem Valeria Windholz, Mrs. Bonavent J. Margaret Dinkel and Mrs. Leo Mary Brungardt, all of Victoria.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary Catholic Church.
