Cy was the son of William (Wilhelm) Fredrich & Mable Annettie Pownall Arndt. He 1st married Pearl Jorgansen Dec 23 1934 in Hoquiam, Grays Harbor, Washington. They had 2 sons and a daughter. He 2nd married Elizabeth Jean Scott. Cy was a Washington State Patrolman, retiring in 1967. He was an award winning ballroom dancer and a contributor and advisor to the creation of the Chelan County Historical Museum in Cashmere, WA. He served in the Army and the Marine Corps during World War II. A memorial service was held under the direction of Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
He was the oldest of 9 children; Howard Irvin (d.1980), Wreithie Millicent (d.1988), Mildred Margaret (d.1996), Edwin Willard (d.2004), Lillian Esther (d.2001), Alvin Fred (d.2001), Donald Robert (d. 1992), one brother survives.
