Date: September 24, 1885
Died--At the residence of his daughter, Mrs. C. Smith, in the town of Houston Wednesday Sept. 16, 1885, Mr. Jacob Galutia aged 92 years and 6 months.

Mr. G. came to this county from New York, twenty-eight years ago, and has been a resident of the town of Houston since that time. He was honored by all as a good straight-forward citizen always is. He was the father of a large family, of which Mrs. C. Smith was the oldest. He was grandfather of Messrs. Herb. Smith, Wm. and Frank Quenett.

His remains were interred in the cemetery, near the red school house, west of the village, last Friday.
