Robert Lee Slay, 64, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at a local care center. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Rocky Creek Church in Mart. Interment: Evergreen Cemetery in Mart. Visitations: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors: He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Irene Slay; daughters, Chanel Owens, Natala Johnson (Johnny), Lukendra McLennan (Carlton), Kaneshia Slay, Stephanie Freeman (Robert) and Danett Brown (Ronque); brothers, Willie B (Olivia) Slay and Donald (Helen) Slay; father-in-law, Johnny Medlock Sr.; 15 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
