Scotty Martin Massengill, 63, of Byhalia, Miss., master plumber and contractor, died of cancer Thursday at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. He was a member of Barton First Baptist Church and was an Air Force and Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Massengill, the husband of Barbara Massengill, also leaves seven daughters, Jenny Cartwright, Terri Grahovah and Deborah Ritter, all of Memphis, Pam Massengill of Eads, Donna Hollifield and Kim Kelley, both of Byhalia, and Teresa Marcum of Collierville; a son, Don Massengill of Collierville, three brothers, Wayne Massengill of Adamsville, Tenn., Bill Massengill of Milan, Tenn, and Jerry Massengill of Moscow, Tenn., 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
