Shirley J. Priscilla, 80, formerly of the 1900 block of Yale Avenue, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at the Valley View Nursing Center following a brief illness.
Shirley's husband, Joseph Priscilla, died April 28, 2002.
Shirley was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and visiting with her neighbors.
Born Dec. 4, 1930, in Coudersport, Potter County, she was the daughter of Howard and Pearl Friggle Cochran.
Surviving is a brother, Charles (Marilyn) Vergason of Trout Run; sisters, Mary Vergason of Nichols, N.Y. and Phyllis Culver of Montoursville; stepson, John Priscilla in Ohio; stepdaughter, Sally Ann Ramer in Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was predeceased by brothers, Clayton and William Cochran and John Bloomer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Ave. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 63 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
