The funeral of Jesse H. Baldwin, who passed away at his home, 120th street, Wednesday morning, was held yesterday under the direction of Undertaker Heyden. Services were preached at his late home by Reverend S.C. Rogers of the M.E. church. John McNeill rendered vocal music. Interment was at Oakhill cemetery in Hammond. Mr. Baldwin, who had been ill for several years as a result of a stroke of paralysis, was 80 years of age, and is survived by a widow 79 years of age, a daughter, Mrs. D.R. Parmelee, a son, J.R. Baldwin, who were both present at the funeral. There are also 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The deceased was formerly a resident of Hammond, from where he moved to Princeton, Ind., where he resided for several years and then came to Whiting to reside with his daughter. The deceased had been a member of the Masonic lodge for thirty-five years, this order being in charge of the funeral.
