January 12, 1924 - July 31, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY Sunday, July 31, Mom went on to be with her Lord and Savior. Joining her beloved husband, Lloyd, mother and father, Fred and Ethel Sharpe, siblings, Harley, Ray, Del and Helen Sharpe, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Swafford. She left behind her children, son Paul Swafford, daughter Melinda McGee, and son-in-law Danny, her grandchildren James Swafford, Anna and Vickie Owens, Dustin Rance and Chelsea Wenemer, her great grandchildren Allen and Abby Owens and many friends and extended family. Mom was born January 12, 1924 in Oklahoma City and grew up in Wheatland, OK. She married Lloyd Swafford in OKC and resided there until her passing. After graduating college she worked at the OKC School Board until 1960 when she became a fulltime mother. She was a devoted wife and mother with patience, kindness and caring that complemented the instruction and discipline Dad was loved for. Mom was a member and avid attendee of Rancho Village Baptist Church after moving membership in 1973. It was in RVBC that she reaffirmed her relationship with Jesus Christ in 1979. Her walk with God and devotion to her church and family are the traits she will be remembered for most. Funeral Services will be 10 AM, Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Rancho Village Baptist Church with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
