Miss Emily Murphy returned on Monday from Staples, where she spent her Easter vacation visiting with her sister, Mrs. M. Cullen. (Brainerd Dispatch, 07 April 1899, p. 8, c. 3)
Mr. Henry W. Linneman and Miss Emily Murphy, both of this city, were united in marriage at 9 a. m., on Wednesday, June 20th, in St. Edward's Catholic Church, at Richland, Minn., the Rev. Father Slavin conducting the ceremony.
The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Mary Murphy, of Richland, and Miss Lillian Koop, of this city, and the groom was supported by his brother, L. N. Linneman, of this city, and John Murphy, a brother of the bride, of Richland.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents in Richland, after which the newly married couple went to St. Paul, and from there to LeRoy, Minn., where they will spend three weeks of their honeymoon visiting Mrs. Linneman's sister, Mrs. M. T. Dunn.
The contracting parties were two of Brainerd's most respected and popular young people, both having resided here for several years, and have hosts of friends who will join the DISPATCH in extending heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. (Brainerd Dispatch, 22 June 1900, p. 10, c. 3)
Mrs. E. Linneman Dies Today at St. Joseph's
Mrs. Emily A. Linneman, 81, 413 North Fourth street, died this morning at 10 a. m. in St. Joseph's hospital.
Mrs. Linneman has been a resident of Brainerd for the past 69 years and taught in the Brainerd schools for 30 years. Born Aug. 30, 1870, in Rice county, Minn., Mrs. Linneman married Henry W. Linneman, a Brainerd merchant who preceded her in death.
Surviving is a son, John, St. Cloud; a daughter, Marian, Brainerd, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Wednesday in the St. Francis Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Gregory will officiate with burial in Evergreen cemetery. (Brainerd Daily Dispatch, 27 August 1951, p. 2)
