Geraldine Fanny Dremolski was the daughter of Herman Dremolski and Ethel Harrington. Her maternal grandparents were John Tyler Harrington and Hannah Amanda Ellsworth. A Seattle Washington directory indicates that Geraldine was living at 1154 18th Avenue North, Seattle, Washington, and was a stenographer for Admiral Oriental Line. She was living with her Aunt and Uncle, Athalene and Luther Weedin.

She married William Barney on 26 July 1926 in Seattle. William Barney was born on 21 April 1893 in Denver, Colorado and died in Seattle on 6 February 1936. William was the son of William Barney Sr. and Sarah Lavina Tharp.

Although given a blood transfusion yesterday, William B. Barney, chief clerk of the state liquor board warehouse staff, who shot himself Saturday, remained In a critical condition at the county hospital today. Barney shot himself in the head in his apartment after writing a note to his wife who had moved from the apartment several weeks ago."

Geraldine then married Hillery Anselman Schaub 16 May 1942 in Seattle. Hillery was the son of Henry and Katie Schaub. Hillery was born on 9 April 1901 in King County, Washington and died on 30 April 1985 in Des Moines, Washington. Hillery served in the United States Navy. Hillery later married Laura K. Bahl on 27 April 1963 in Seattle.

Geraldine and William had one daughter, Kathleen Beryl Barney who was born on 22 September 1927 in Seattle and died on 28 October 1927 in Seattle.
