Mrs. Edwin Dunlap, 93, Hawarden, died Oct. 9 at a Hawarden nursing home.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., Oct. 13, in the Associated Church. The Rev. Herbert Young officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dunlap, the former, Mable Arthaud, was born Aug. 4, 1882 in Washington County. She was graduated from the Samaritan Hospital Nursing School in Sioux City in 1906. She was one of the first registered nurses in the State of Iowa.

Mrs. Dunlap was married Aug. 23, 1906, in O'Brien County. The couple moved to Hawarden in 1921. Mr. Dunlap died Aug. 11, 1953. Mrs. Dunlap was a member of the Associated Church and the Hawarden PEO Chapter.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss I. Estelle of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Homer F. (Mary Eva) Peterson of Lake Havasu City, Ariz; two brothers, LeRoy and Odle, both of Sac City; three sisters, Mrs. Erwin (Vernie) Camp of Everly, Mrs. Clay (Nina) Rogers of Sheboygan, Wis., and Mrs. Oliver (Viola) Sneider of Long Beach; six grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
