Elmira was the daughter of Willie and Christian Elmire McLean Jacobs. She married Will Roller, Jr.
Christian gave Elmira to her maternal aunt, Eliza Oxendine Lowry Goins, to raise. Eliza had no children of her own, and Christian knew that she was dying. Christian passed away on Feb. 28, 1905.
