Sgt. Hal Crosby Walton. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Walton, Gilmer. Graduate of Gilmer H.S. Entered Army Air Corps in 1940. Served in New Guinea and Australia. Killed in an airplane crash in Australia in 1944. "Men and Women in WWII from Upshur Co."
