Ben R. Jackson, age 70, of Reynoldsburg. On July 13, 2010 this world lost the best father, perfect husband, and playful fun-loving grandpa. Heaven gained a kind and gentle soul. He attended Franklin Heights High School where he was a star basketball player; graduated from Central High School in 1959. He was employed by B.F. Goodrich Industrial Products for 17 years, where he was a quality control supervisor and set up quality control departments for BFG in several states. Then he was employed by Reynoldsburg City Schools where he retired in 2009. He was a faithful longtime member of Reynoldsburg Baptist Church, where he had served as Sunday School director and on the finance committee. He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Acle Burchett and brothers Wallace and David Jackson and sister Patsy Davis. Ben will be missed by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Kathy; daughter, Tamara Jackson, of Reynoldsburg; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Kimberly Jackson, of Reynoldsburg; the grandchildren that he loved so much, Drake Thomas, Kelsey (Neto) Henriquez, Taylor, Dakota, and Skylar Jackson, all of Reynoldsburg; and one great-grandchild, Melissa Henriquez; also survived by sisters, Elsie Fitzsimmons, Judy Haymon, and Linda; brother, Bill Burchett; and many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg. His funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Reynoldsburg Baptist Church, 887 Rosehill Road, Reynoldsburg, where friends may also visit from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Silent Home Cemetery.
