Randall John "Randy" Miller
Birth: May 14, 1947
Fulton County
Ohio, USA
Death: Jan. 28, 1975
Fulton County
Ohio, USA

Randall John Miller was born to John George Miller and Lois Arlene (O'Brien) Miller in Wauseon, Ohio. He attended school in Pike Township until high school. He helped his Dad farm. He loved the outdoors. We first met before high school in 1962. I knew at first glance that I would marry him someday. Many people don't believe in love at first sight, but it is real for some of us. It's not something that can be explained either.
We dated others until our senior year and then we got together and started going steady on our first date.
We married in October, 1965. He was a construction worker and, among other places, worked on the Fulton County Health Center, the Enrico Fermi power plant in Monroe, Michigan and Michigan International Speedway (MIS). At the time of his death, he was digging ponds and doing earth moving. We owned our own equipment and I ran the bulldozer when necessary. He died doing what he loved to do. He enjoyed working on cars, snowmobiling, animals and talking to anyone. One day he accidently drove over a rabbit's nest and killed the mother with the bulldozer. He brought the babies home and we tried to save them but they only lived a few days.
He was a gentle soul, friendly and very intelligent. He is still the love of my life and always will be.

Our Summer of 1964: "You can't force chemistry to exist where it doesn't in the same way you can't deny it when it does."

As an interesting side note, while doing genealogy, I discovered that Randy is the 5th cousin of John Uhler (Jack) Lemmon III, the actor. Their g-g-g-grandparents were siblings. His g-g-grandfather, Daniel Miller married Marie Louisa Lemmon.

Here is a quote from cousin Jack: "Death ends a life, not a relationship".
❤ "For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul." ~ Judy Garland

I Never Got to Say Goodbye

Wish I could go back to the day
When angels came and took you away.
I wanted to hold your hand so tight
Kiss you gently and say goodnight.
And then just before you had to go
I would tell you how much I love you so.
I didn't know how I don't know why
I never got the chance to say goodbye.
By John F Connor

The Little Ship
I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. The setting sun tinted his white sails with a golden light, and as he disappeared from sight a voice at my side whispered, “He is gone”.

But the sea was a narrow one. On the farther shore a little band of friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly they caught sight of the tiny sail and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered, “He is gone” a glad shout went up in joyous welcome, “Here he comes!”
