She was born Oct. 6, 1897, in Kenton to John Westly and Rebecca Elizabeth Ford Johnson.
On August 12, 1930, she married William Spencer, who died on Oct. 2, 1965.
Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Richard T. (Elizabeth) Spencer of Nokomis, FLA,
and Donald L. (Kathy) Spencer of Oberlin; a daughter, JoAnn (LaJoie) Hurlburt
of Lima; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, June Ketcham, and 14 brothers and sisters.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lewis Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home. The Rev. Judy Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger.
