Miriam, like her mother, was married at 19 years of age on May 27, 1922, to Douglas Alexander Baird, son of Thomas W. and Catherine (Forrest) Baird. Together they had two daughters, Jean and Kathleen. According to her cousin, Halcyon Constance Acton Glidewell, Miriam came to Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County, California in 1917, a year before her parents arrived. She attended Live Oak High School. Miriam died of leukemia. The funeral was on August 30, 1960, with Rev. Marshall Wickham, St. Frances Episcopal Church officiating. She was buried in the same mausoleum as her parents though in the corridor to the west of them, in the top row, just like them.
