Adolph Naber, 77, died Saturday in the Hustisford hospital after a lingering illness. He was life-long resident of Mayville, and was associated for many years with the D. Naber Co., pioneer business establishment which his father founded after coming to America from Germany in 1850.

The body was in state at the Koepsell Funeral Home, where the funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Atty. John A. Thiel as speaker. Burial took place in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Naber was born in Mayville on Mar. 4, 1876, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dietrich Naber. He attended the Mayville schools, and early in life began working in the Naber store, which was one of the city's best known business places through the years. The store building was dismantled to make way for the city's new post office. Adolph greatly enjoyed working in gardens with the flowers and shrubs, and spent many hours at these tasks.

For many years he was active in the Mayville Turnverein and the old Mayville bank, directed by Dr. E. J. Albrecht.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Henry Wegner, this city. Five sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
