Rosalia Chacon Arvizo, 74, a resident of Fort Bayard, entered into eternal rest Friday at Fort Bayard Medical Center. She was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Santa Rita. She was a homemaker and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The prayer vigil will begin at 7 p.m. with Deacon Johnnie Perez officiating. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Paulus Kao officiating. Burial will follow at the Hanover Cemetery. She is survived by a brother, Agustin V. Chacon, and his wife, Elvira, of Mimbres; and nieces and nephews, Yolanda Chacon-Valle, Ramon Chacon, Estella Alirez, and Ernest, Larry, Viviana, Rosario, Gilbert and Victoria Alirez. She was preceded in death by a sister, Catalina Alirez. Casket bearers will be Ramon Chacon, Jimmy Jones, Rodolfo Vasquez, Victor Ornelas, Jesus Chacon and Plutarco Pedraza.
