Roy D. Erickson, son of John and Betty Erickson, was born on March 20, 1910, on a farm near Hebron, Nebr., and departed this life on Augustt (sic) 18, 1954, at the age of 44 years, 4 months and 28 days. He grew to manhood in this community. Later he moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where he has made his home for the past 18 years.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Betty Erickson, three sisters: Mrs. Thomas Reime, Mrs. Harry Bland and Mrs. Harold Haymie; four brothers: Willard, David and Arthur, all of Los Angeles, Calif., and John, of Hebron, Nebr. He also leaves many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., in the Montgomery Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Norman Smitheram. Two hymns were sung by Mrs. George Wrightsman and Mrs. J.R. Bancroft, with Mrs. Harold Killinger at the piano.
Interment was in Hebron cemetery.
