Mrs. Minnie VanDolah, wife of John L. VanDolah, 1132 West Wood street, died Thursday morning at 12:15 o'clock following an illness of two months. Her death was caused by cancer of the stomach. Minnie Hayes was born in Vermilion county, July 5, 1860 and was sixty-nine years old. She was married in 1892 in Decatur to John L. VanDolah who survives her. She also leaves a son, Ray VanDolah of Decatur. Another son preceded her in death. There is one sister, Mrs. Katherine Parsons of Hardy, Ark. and two brothers, Frank Hayes of Hot Springs, Ark. and Gus Hayes of Beardstown. She also leaves one grandchild, Ray VanDolah Jr. Previous to her marriage Mrs. VanDolah was engaged in the occupation of dressmaking which she had followed until her health failed her two months ago. She had been a resident of Decatur for forty-seven years. She was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the home. Burial will be in the Macon cemetery.
