Georgina B. Martori, age 83, passed away quietly in her sleep Friday morning March 11, 2011 in Long Beach, California. She was born May 17, 1927 in San Francisco, California and was a long time resident of California City. Along with her husband, Jim Martori (1991), Gina owned Jim and Gina's Kitchen for seven years. Jim and Gina were well known in the California City to many. Gina loved to volunteer at, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, as a HiCap representative for senior citizens, involved in helping out with the blind, AARP, and The Share Program. As a very spiritual and loving mother, Gina is survived by one son, two daughters; Joseph, Mary and Catherine, four grandchildren; Christopher, Angela, Salvador, Jr., and Manolo, and two great grandchildren; Shelbi and Lukas.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Stickels Mortuary in Mojave, California on Friday, March 18, 2011. Mass will be held 9:30am Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, California City, California, at 10:30 am Interment will follow at California City Memorial Park, California City and a reception at 11:00 am in the Strata Sports Building in Central Park California City, California .
