Walter (Napp) Jones
Walter (Napp) Jones, 56, native of Hillsboro and a veteran of World War I died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Curry, 611 W. Elm St., at 5:45 p.m. Saturday. He suffered a heart attack Sunday.
Funeral services were to be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. A. F. Duke officiating. Interment was to be on the American Legion lot in Ridge Park cemetery.
Mr. Jones served with the 144th Ambulance Corps, 36th division, in World War I. and particiapated in the Muesse Argonne offensive.
Survivors include three brothers, Sidney Jones, Hillsboro, Jimmy Jones, Ranger, and Ernest Jones, Corsicana; three sisters, Mrs. A. E. Nichols, Fort Mills, S. C., Mrs. Monroe Maddox, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Lorn Smith, Longview.
