FREEMAN—Fred Earnest Shrader, 79, of Box 195. Freeman, died Tuesday, June 22, 1993 at a Princeton hospital.
Born August 2, 1913 in Cliff Yards, he was a son of the late Isaiah Welch and Flora Bell Shrader.
He had been a life long resident of Freeman and a member of the Elizabeth Bowen Jones Memorial United Methodist Church at Bramwell for 57 years and was a member of the official Board of the Church. He was a retired miner and a member of the UMWA and was a member of the Mercer County Democratic Club.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Shrader, Lewis Shrader and Aubrey Shrader.
Survivors: wife, Faye Cline Shrader; son, David (Butch) Shrader of Nemours; brother Grayson Shrader of Freeman, James Shrader of Princeton and Cecil Shrader of Florida; sisters, Margie Cole of Charleston, Dorothy May of Silver Springs, Md., and Mary Ruth Woods of Beckley; two grandsons and four great-grandsons.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Clark S. Peloubet and the Rev. Paul Fowler officiating.
Entombment will be at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
