Mrs. Warren To Be Buried In Syracuse
Rites for Daughter of Late E. B. Judson, Jr., Tomorrow
Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Judson Warren, daughter of the late Edward B. Judson, Jr. who died yesterday at her home, 65 Berkley Street, Rochester, will be conducted from the home at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse.
Edward B. Judson, Sr., Mrs. Warren's grandfather, was founder and first president of the First National Trust Company of Syracuse, a predecessor of the First Trust and Deposit Company. Her father was second president of that institution.
In 1863, Salmon P. Chase, then secretary of the treasury, called Mr. Judson to Washington to seek his aid on banking conditions in the country. The First National Bank was reorganized at the request of Mr. Chase and on the death of Mr. Judson, his son became president of the bank. In 1918 First National Bank was merged with First Trust and Deposit Company.
Mrs. Warren was a native of Syracuse, attended school here and was active in charitable and social work until she left the city about 20 years ago to live in Montreal. Later she moved to New York City and three years ago took residence in Rochester. Her husband Frank H. Warren, formerly was music critic for the New York Times.
Surviving besides her husband, are a daughter, Miss Esther Lynette Morgan, and a son, James Judson Morgan.
