Marcella Louise Mulvihill, 98, died Thursday, September 23, 2010 after a brief illness.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late David Michael and Helena Knittel Huber. She was raised with her 6 siblings: Russell Huber, Carl Huber, David Michael Huber, Jr., Dorothy Huber Schaefer, Anne Huber Zeitz, and Robert Huber all of Cincinnati, OH. She is survived by Anne and Robert.
On November 23, 1938, Marcella married the love of her life, Paul J. Mulvihill. They spent 64 years together raising their two daughters in Cincinnati, living in the same house in the Price Hill area for over 60 years. She moved to Ponte Vedra Beach,FL in October of 2007, where she was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, feeding the birds, and especially visits with her beloved family.
Marcella is survived by her two daughters, Marcella D. Barnhorst (Dr. Donald A.) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Paulette H. Hayley (Charles F.) of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren: MaryBeth Barnhorst Connell, M.D. (Dr. Marc D.) of Bethesda, MD, Donald A. Barnhorst, Jr., M.D.(Kirsten) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, JulieAnne Barnhorst Kaneb (Michael) of Wellesley, MA, Charles F. Hayley, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH, Bradley S. Barnhorst (Dr. Christine) of Goshen, NY, Susan Hayley Gates (Lorin) of Peoria, AZ; fifteen great grandchildren: Marc, Jr., Woods, and Catherine Connell; Lauren, Meg, Thomas, and Matthew Barnhorst; Alicia, Lucy, Andrew, and Nancy Marcella Kaneb; Marcella and Isabel Barnhorst; Ashtyn and Kayleigh Gates. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul J. Mulvihill on July 21, 2003. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
