Moira Felice Méndez -June 19, 1980 to October 24, 2006. Full of life and love, Moira was an inspiration to all who knew her. A trusted friend and loved daughter, her life was filled with the love of friends. Her heart was always set on caring for those who needed her most. A camp counselor for many years at Camp Enchantment "A summer camp for kids with cancer", Moira always thought of others above herself and will truly be missed by all who knew her. We will carry her dreams in our hearts and look for her name that is now written among the stars of heaven. Graduate of NMMI and UNM, her most recent job working in the film industry in New Mexico.
Moira is survived by her mother, Kathleen McFadden-Thomas, step-father, Ken Thomas, grandmother, Dorothy Rokusek, brothers, Michael and Roy Licata and Eric and Troy Méndez, father, Ralph Méndez, step-mother, Maureen Méndez and step-brother, James Thomas.
Visitation will be held this Friday, November 3, 2006 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery in Santa Fé, NM at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be receiving donations in memory of Moira Méndez to the Children's Cancer Fund of New Mexico, c/a Ken and Kathleen Thomas, 3225 Chandra Lane SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
