MARION RUTH ALLEMAN was born November 22, 1921 in South Haven, Michigan, the daughter of the late Ralph Davis and Cecile (Smith) Davis. She was raised and received her education in South Haven, Michigan. She was united in marriage to Orville Alleman, Sr. on December 2, 1940 in Bryan, Ohio. Following their marriage they resided in Benton Harbor, Michigan, They resided there until 1965, when they moved to Oregon, settling in the Forest Grove community, where she had resided since. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, Sr, on September 12, 1986 at Forest Grove, Oregon, after celebrating over forty-five years of marriage together. While living in Benton Harbor, Michigan, she attended the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Since moving to Forest Grove she has been a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Cornelius. Among her special interests she enjoyed ceramics, bowling, bingo and her flower garden. Marion was also preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Marjorie VanDomelen, Robert Davis, David Davis, Eugene Davis, Gordon Davis and Donald Davis. Survivors include her children and their spouses; Marville and Ronald Gilbert, of Aloha, Oregon; Orville, Jr. and Arlene Alleman, of Cornelius, Oregon; Aaron J. Alleman, of Forest Grove, Oregon; and Cary A. and Lori Alleman, of Verboort, Oregon; by her brother, Burton Davis, of Shasta, California and by her sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Don Zook, of Forest Grove, Oregon. Also surviving are six grandchildren and their spouses, Ronald II and Megan Gilbert, of Tigard, Oregon; Jennifer and Monte Reiser, of Boring, Oregon; Amy House, of Spokane, Washington; Anna Miller, of Melborne, Florida; Jennifer Birdsong, of Forest Grove, Oregon and J.D. Birdsong of Forest Grove, Oregon; and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests that remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 380 SE Spokane #110, Portland, Oregon 97202 or St. Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 4265 SW Golf Course Rd. Cornelius, Oregon 97113, in her memory.
