Alma was born at St, John's Hospital, Springfield, Ill. She was the only child of Edward G. Foster and Ethel M. Adams Foster.
She served as a TEC 5 WAC during WWII. Receiving her honnorable discharge on 13 Aug 1946. She met Kirk Fletcher at Fort Lewis, Washington; fell in love; and, married him in 1949.
She and Kirk moved to San Francisco, CA, and later to Sunnyvale, CA where they raised 3 children, Deborah Lee (1949 - ), Charles Edward (1950-2009); and, Cathy Jean (1953-).
After Kirk died, she lived at Bethel Island, CA, in Oregon, returning to California in 1992. She died in Florida where her daughter Deborah lived.
