Confirmed bachelor, he never married. Parents were Joseph Hughes and Ardilla Price Hughes. Information obtained said that Clyde and Norman owned a restaurant called the Red Cloud Inn near the beginning of the toll road up Pike's Peak. They sold it before their deaths.
