Hall of Fame Professional Hockey Player. He played for the teams, Melville Millionaires (1923 to 1924), Regina Capitals (1924 to 1925), Edmonton Eskimos (1925 to 1926), Boston Bruins (1924 to 1940), Springfield Indians (1939 to 1942), and Buffalo Bisons (1943 to 1944). Also a hockey coach, he coached the teams, Springfield Indians from 1941 to 1942, Buffalo Bisons from 1942 to 1943, and Springfield Bisons from 1954 to 1955. Among his many honors were winning the Stanley Cup Championship in 1929 and 1939, and the Hart Memorial Trophy (1932-1933, 1934-1935, 1935-1936, and 1937-1938). He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1947.
